Tang Dynasty is easily the best Chinese restaurant in St Vital. We've tried most of the options on St Mary's and St Anne's Roads and none can compare.
We have ordered take out regularly for the past couple years and recently tried dining in. The portions are very big for the price and when you get take out, the free chicken fried rice for larger orders makes it an even better value!
The food is always excellent, very flavorful and made with fresh ingredients. The portions of meat and vegetables in each dish are never skimpy. The ginger beef is especially good, as is the Cantonese chow mein and hot and sour soup. Every dish we have tried has been great.
When we ate in, the food arrived steaming hot and the service was excellent. They were very attentive and accommodating.
Overall, I'd highly recommend Tang Dynasty! -

I love this place. I come here as much as I can every time I'm winnipeg. Best egg rolls ever. Their combos are delicious and affordable.

I have eaten in as well taken out. the service is slow and there is far too much msg / salt in the food. They forgot to serve my sauce, so i reminded them and I received my sweet and sour sauce at the end of the meal once my food was gone. No water refills. The batter on the shrimp is so thick you can barely find the shrimp inside. I think the problem is they do to want to hire staff and try to do everything their selves and fail miserably. Expect to wait ten minutes at the till whether you want to pay or pick up.
